Woman Owned Locksmith Business

I started my career as a locksmith in 1980. My children were young and I wanted to work but also be there for my children. I started my own business and opened in a storefront in Forest Park on Madison Street.

As the business picked up and there were more calls for service than I could handle, Al, my husband quit his job as a carpenter and became second in command. He took over the outside service calls and I managed  the store and the telephones, while helping with the children's homework in the back of the store.

Today customers come in and can't believe my 6'3 son is the same youngster who 'helped his mom' in the shop. He is now a computer engineer and is the one who is responsible for our move into the computer age. He still 'helps his mom' with Google and the website.

I believe that a woman's touch has been a plus for our business and our customers.

PHS Locksmiths is a woman-owned business.
